Dark Day

Dark Day

In shadows deep, where light doth fear to tread,
A pall of darkness veils the sun’s bright face.
The world stands still, caught in a dread embrace,
As whispers of despair fill hearts with dread.

Beneath the cloak of night, a chilling sight,
The sun, eclipsed, casts forth its final sigh.
A harbinger of doom hangs in the sky,
And echoes of despair ring through the night.

In eerie silence, terror takes its hold,
As darkness claims its place, a sinister shroud.
The future veiled, by omens dire and cold,
A grim foretelling, uttered long and loud.

For in the depths of night, where shadows creep,
Dark days portend a fate too grim to keep.
