To the Esteemed Leaders of the United States Government,
On behalf of the American people—yes, the ones who pay the taxes that fund your salaries and your endless stalemates—we’d like to say: get your act together. Actually, let’s be blunt—get your shit together.
While you bicker over fringe talking points and toss rhetorical grenades to keep your bases entertained, real people are paying the price. Federal workers who keep this country running are treated like bargaining chips, and the millions of Americans who depend on their work are left in the lurch.
Enough with the theatrics. You’re not gladiators in some cable news arena—you’re supposed to be public servants. In the private sector, employees who failed this spectacularly at their jobs would be fired. No excuses, no grandstanding, just a pink slip and a replacement who can deliver results.
So here’s a radical suggestion: do your job. Govern. Compromise. Solve problems. You know—the things you were actually elected to do. Because the rest of us are done footing the bill for incompetence dressed up as ideology.
